Fred Gabriel started his insurance career as a commercial risks underwriter in a composite insurance company in the UK. He quickly saw the potential of the nascent captive movement and joined the leading captive management company as a marketing executive in the UK and subsequently moved to Luxembourg where the captive law had just been voted. There he marketed and formed captive insurance and reinsurance companies for multinational companies from around the world.  More recently he has accepted mandates as an independent director with Insurance, Reinsurance and a Fund for insurance entities. He has also assisted a UK broker to establish in Luxembourg and remains a director of that company.
