Michael is CEO of Stonefort Insurance Holding in Luxembourg and Head of the corporate department insurances at HOCHTIEF AG in Essen, positions he assumed in 2023 and 2020, respectively.
Michael is a German-trained lawyer with a background in law and art history. He began his career in 2008 at the insurance brokerage company of Fraport AG in Frankfurt, specializing in public liability and transport liability. In 2011, Michael joined Marsh GmbH, where he worked in M&A insurance, including a seven-month tenure in London. He later led the liability and D&O team at VVK GmbH, Siemens AG’s insurance broker, before moving to Basler Versicherung in Basel in 2016 as Head of Underwriting Key Accounts. With a wealth of expertise in risk management and insurance, Michael now focuses on leading Stonefort Group’s strategic initiatives and fostering sustainable growth.
